Rajan Shahi’s Sapna Babul Ka Bidaai has seen many cameos over the past two years. Usually for an important sequence a well-known actor is brought in.
This time there’s a couple coming in. The serial will soon see Ketki Dave (still know for her ar ra ra) along with her husband Rasik Dave. They will play a couple, who’ll tell Ragini and Anmol the value of love and romance in life. The serial has Hema Malini, Hansika Motwani, Shweta Tiwari, Manini Mishra and Moulli Ganguly in cameos over the months.
Barkha Bisht, last seen in the soap, Doli Saja Ke, and in a blink-and-miss item number in Raajneeti, is now acting in a Bengali film, Dui Prithibi. She plays a
professional dancer and is paired opposite Bengali matinee idol
Dev. Actor-husband Indraneil Sengupta has been helping her learn her Bengali dialogue, with the correct pronunciation and diction. Now, that’s what you call a ‘better half’.
Just like Shah Rukh Khan
Angad Hasija is back full time on Sapna Babul Ka Bidaai. The show that recently went through a seven-year leap, has him playing daddy dearest to a little girl.
Apparently, unlike other actors on the show, Hasija didn’t need much convincing. He is inspired by Shah Rukh Khan who played an older man in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and an even older man in Veer-Zaara. How cool is that!
He’s hurt!
But only physically! Gurmeet Chaudhary, who played Ram in the new Mahabharat, is now a businessman Maan in Geet. The actor, after chewing a handful of green chilies and running up a high temperature, has now decided to stay home for a while.
Reason: He has dislocated his right shoulder after banging his hand on the jammed door of a lift for scene. The shot was okayed in three takes but his shoulder is still hurting.

Sulagna Panigrahi, who was last seen as a protagonist in Zee’s Do Saheliyaan will now enter Rajan Shahi and Star Plus’ Bidaai…
Sulagna Panigrahi who portrayed Maithili in Zee TV’s Do Saheliyaan – Kismat ki Kathputaliyaan did not find much success with the show. But she is all set to enter a show which easily makes headlines either for good or bad – Rajan Shahi and Star Plus’ Sapna Babul Ka…Bidaai.
Bidaai has undergone a lot of changes including a leap and the exit of two leads – Sara Khan and Kinshuk Mahajan. Apparently, Sulagna is coming to fill in for Sara’s absence. In the show, Alekh aka Angad Hasija has gone back to square one. He has lost his mental balance.
A little birdie tells us, “A lot of popular names were approached to play this part. Even Rati Pandey who was recently relieved from playing the character Nupur in Star One’s Miley Jab Hum Tum was approached. But ultimately Sulagna bagged the role.”
Our source says, “Sulagna has bagged the role of Upasana. Upasana is a character with grey shades. However in the end she will fall for Alekh.”
When contacted, Sulagna Panigrahi rubbished the news. She said, “I am not doing Bidaai. But yes, you will see me on-screen soon enough.”
We called Rajan Shahi and even sent him a text message but he never responded.
Sulagna Panigrahi will start shooting from either today or tomorrow and her entry will be aired very soon.
