Sulagna Panigrahi who portrayed Maithili in Zee TV’s Do Saheliyaan – Kismat ki Kathputaliyaan did not find much success with the show. But she is all set to enter a show which easily makes headlines either for good or bad – Rajan Shahi and Star Plus’ Sapna Babul Ka…Bidaai.

Bidaai has undergone a lot of changes including a leap and the exit of two leads – Sara Khan and Kinshuk Mahajan. Apparently, Sulagna is coming to fill in for Sara’s absence. In the show, Alekh aka Angad Hasija has gone back to square one. He has lost his mental balance.

A little birdie tells us, “A lot of popular names were approached to play this part. Even Rati Pandey who was recently relieved from playing the character Nupur in Star One’s Miley Jab Hum Tum was approached. But ultimately Sulagna bagged the role.”

Our source says, “Sulagna has bagged the role of Upasana. Upasana is a character with grey shades. However in the end she will fall for Alekh.”

When contacted, Sulagna Panigrahi rubbished the news. She said, “I am not doing Bidaai. But yes, you will see me on-screen soon enough.”

We called Rajan Shahi and even sent him a text message but he never responded.

Sulagna Panigrahi will start shooting from either today or tomorrow and her entry will be aired very soon.
